Debt Company Sets "Exemplary Standard" In Mystery Shop For OFTposted on 23 November 2010 | posted in General Category | ( 0 ) CommentsIntegrity Financial Services Limited has set an exemplary standard in a recent OFT (office of fair trading) mystery shop on Debt advice companies. The mystery shop was undertaken by 'Zero Credit' who pledged to support the OFT to ensure that their CCA Search Facility contiunes to operate effectively. This proves that once again that Integrity are the company to follow in regards to setting standards when showing people who they are and what they do. There are too many companies that offer debt solutions in the UK that do not advertise who they are registered with and if they can be trusted. Integrity Financial Services Limited clearly shows this on their website so people can see that they are a trusted company who are regulated, offering the best advice and debt solutions in the UK. Here is the result from the mystery shop on Integrity: "Mystery shopping" on the CCA Search Facility- Zero-Credit UK & OFT Introduction:Further to encountering some difficulty with the OFT CCA Search facility, Zero-credit pledged to support the OFT with a short mystery shopping exercise. The OFT intends to replicate our research in order to ensure that the Search facility continues to operate effectively. This summary gives an account of our research, together with some recommendations. On 22 November 2010, Zero-credit selected seven commercial debt counselling websites to be tested using the CCA Search facility. Since each company presented varying amounts and formats of company information, we were not able to repeat identical searches for each company. However, we were able to complete searches for six out of the seven companies sampled, entering a combination of CCA Search fields from: organisation name, trading name, licence number, company number and postcode, based on what was available on the company websites. http://www.integrity-debt-solutions.co.uk The home page of this url makes it clear that the site belongs to Integrity Financial Services Ltd and whilst both are registered trading names with the OFT, this appears to be the only site for this company. The About page on this website provides comprehensive company information, making the process of searching and verifying the consumer credit licence information extremely easy. The use of an About page to collate all of the necessary information to confirm Integrity’s practice is also logical. In addition to providing information relevant to every major search field, the company also offers consumers the security of its registration numbers with the Ministry of Justice and for the Data Protection Act, as well as sharing several links to other relevant professional associations. In short, we deem this presentation to be best practice. Conclusion: At the very least, companies which trade in commercial debt counselling should make it as easy as possible for consumers to verify their licence details. At Zero-credit, the debtors’ coop, our preference is for as much transparency as possible and we thoroughly recommend Integrity Financial Services Ltd for the presentation of this information on its About page. If we were to set an exemplar standard, this would be it. Integrity Financial Services Limited welcomes this result and says that "All debt advice companies should clearly show who they are registered with and regulated by. This then gives the customer the satisfaction that they are using a company who are recommended and can be trusted. We will always continue to set the exemplar standard when offering our services to people". Share this blog entry:
