Many Britons Have A `Lax Attitude To Debt`posted on 15 July 2010 | posted in General Category | ( 0 ) CommentsMany Britons display a `lax attitude to debt`, according to Tim Moss, head of loans and debt at moneysupermarket.com. He made the comment in a recent press release looking at debt levels - and borrowers` attitudes to the debts they`re carrying. It found that many people with loans and credit card debts were not concerned about these debts - a mere 15% of them said they`d be worried about missing two or more payments towards those debts. Just 17% would be worried if they fell out with their friends and family over the money they`d borrowed from them. And only 43% of people in debt said they`d be concerned if they couldn`t pay their rent or mortgage. "Missing a payment, whether to a credit card, mortgage or utility provider, can mean serious trouble; not only will consumers increase their overall debt levels, but their chances of obtaining the best credit products in the future will be severely reduced," he said Thanks Tim.
