Leading up to Christmas I thought it would be great to cheer you all up with a few eye popping statistics.

So with whilst you walk around the shops doing your christmas shopping bombarded with with Sinatra, The Wizard and Shakin Stevens ringing in your ears, have a think about the following:

Average household debt including mortgages is £55,808

Personal interest paid daily in the UK is £174 million

Approx daily amount of people made redundant is 1,611

Amount of people unemployed for 12 months is 868,000

Approx daily write off of loans by banks and building sociieties is £15.68 million

A property will be repossessed on average every 14.28 minutes

Someone will be declared bankrupt or insolvent every 4.35 minutes

Approx daily increase in Government national debt (PSDN) is £185,200,000

Approx total value of purchases made using plastic cards each day since September 2011 is £1,276,733,333

These are real figures and you have to ask the question....

'Will 2012 be the year of debt and the financial storm of the century?'
